Allstate Study: Milwaukee Has Safe Drivers

Although my personal experience with fellow Milwaukee drivers has been less than pleasant over the last few years, a study done by Allstate claims that we are pretty good drivers.

In the "Allstate America's Best Drivers Report" Milwaukee is ranked as having the 8th safest drivers in the country. According to the study, a driver is 20% less likely to get into an accident in Milwaukee as compared with the national average. The average time between collisions for drivers in Milwaukee is 12.5 years. With cities having populations between 500,000 and 1 million, Milwaukee is considered to have the safest drivers. Milwaukee came in first in this category in Allstate's first study on the America's Best Drivers last year.

Allstate researchers analyzed company claim data to determine the likelihood drivers in America's 200 largest cities would experience a vehicle collision compared to the national average.
